8cups water
1cup dried hibiscus flowers
3/4-1cup granulated sugar, or 1/2 cup honey
sparkling water or ice cubes
lime, optional
Instructions
Bring the water, hibiscus and sugar (or honey) to a boil. Reduce heat, and allow to simmer for 20 minutes or until the liquid has turned a dark red.
Remove from heat and strain the flowers. Allow tea to cool and place in the refrigerator.
Serve over ice or diluted with sparkling water, and top with a squeeze of lime if desired.
