Hibiscus Iced Tea is tart with a hint of sweetness and it's packed with health benefits. Delightfully invigorating, it's the perfect drink for a summer day!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 3/4-1 cup granulated sugar, or 1/2 cup honey
  • sparkling water or ice cubes
  • lime, optional

Instructions

  1. Bring the water, hibiscus and sugar (or honey) to a boil. Reduce heat, and allow to simmer for 20 minutes or until the liquid has turned a dark red. 
  2. Remove from heat and strain the flowers. Allow tea to cool and place in the refrigerator. 
  3. Serve over ice or diluted with sparkling water, and top with a squeeze of lime if desired.
