Soft and fluffy Garlic Butter Breadsticks that are 100% made from scratch, and oh-so-easy to make! Topped with a flavorful garlic butter, and baked until lightly golden, these breadsticks are the perfect side for soups, salads, and pasta.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 cups warm water
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Mix together water, yeast, sugar, and salt in a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.
  2. Add flour one cup at a time and mix well after each addition. Add in the melted butter. Continue adding flour until the dough no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl (you may need more or less flour than the recipe asks for.)
  3. Let mixer knead the dough for 3 minutes. Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 400F. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces, roll into breadstick shapes and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  5. Cover baking sheet with plastic wrap and let rise for 20 minutes.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden. Combine topping ingredients and brush on top of warm breadsticks.
