Hello there! I'm Ashley and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I LOVE to cook and travel, which is why I decided to create Wanderzest. I wanted a place to share my two passions with you, I hope you enjoy what you see!
I am one person who has loved spending time in the kitchen for my entire life. Growing up I would make all kinds of goodies in the kitchen with my mom and grandma. From an early age, I was baking all kinds of cookies, brownies, and desserts. I really grew to love cooking!
As a college graduate with a degree in marketing (part of the reason I started this blog), I have found that I have a little more time to pursue my hobbies. I decided to start a blog about something I am really passionate about...food and travel. My husband and I love to travel, and I am always excited to try new foods. Everything from curry, to deep dish pizza, to crepes, you name it! My love for food and travel prompted me to create this blog.
A Few Random Facts About Me:
-I play the violin. I have played for 13 years now. Sadly, I haven't been able to play as often as I would like to, but I am hoping to join the community orchestra to have an excuse to play more. My husband also plays the piano, so I guess you could say we make the perfect duet.
-Two of my favorite TV shows of all time are The Office and Parks and Rec. I think I binged watched Parks and Rec in less than a month (as a full-time student!), it's kind of my guilty pleasure.
-I love camping, fishing, hiking, 4-wheeling, boating, you name it! I love doing anything and everything outdoors.
-During our first two years of marriage, my husband and I have been able to travel across the United States and to several countries in Europe. We love to travel and are always looking for a new adventure to take!
-My favorite food of all time is ice cream. My husband and I usually have two containers of ice cream in the freezer on any given basis. Perfect for those stressful days!
-I am a social media nerd. I manage social media for my full-time job and for my blog, it never gets old! I love it!
Thanks for stopping by!
