This cool, refreshing strawberry agua fresca is made with only 5 simple ingredients. Blend it together in a matter of minutes for the perfect Mexican drink to cool off with on a hot summer day.
One of my favorite things to do with berries after they've reached their prime is to blend them up into smoothies or smoothie bowls, make them into jam, freeze them for later, or make agua fresca! After purchasing 4 pounds worth of strawberries at Costco the other day, I knew I needed to use them up fast. Obviously, on a hot summer day like today, agua fresca was definitely in order.
Agua fresca is Spanish for "fresh water" or "cool water". Made with water and fruit, it is much lighter than juice as it consists mainly of water.
This refreshing version of strawberry agua fresca is made with strawberries, fresh lime juice, and my favorite ingredient: mint. The mint adds a very subtle refreshing flavor that works so well with the fruity combination!
