🔪 How to Make This Instant Pot Rice Recipe

Step 1: Rinse the rice under cold water using a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from turning out gummy.
Step 2: In the Instant Pot, add the rinsed rice, 1 cup of water, salt, and oil or butter (if using). Stir gently.
Step 3: Secure the lid, set the valve to Sealing, and cook on High Pressure for 4 minutes.
Step 4: Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then carefully turn the valve to Venting to release any remaining pressure.
Step 5: Open the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve.
🌟 Expert Tips
- Rinse your rice! This helps remove excess starch and prevents it from turning gummy or sticky.
- Add flavor easily: Swap water for broth, or add a garlic clove, bay leaf, or a pinch of seasoning for extra flavor.
- Let it rest: After the pressure has released, let the rice sit for a minute or two before fluffing. It makes the texture better.
- Double it: Want more? Just double the rice and water (remember the 1:1 ratio)—no need to adjust the cook time.
