This flavorful pumpkin juice, made with pumpkin puree, apple cider, and fall spices is sure to be a hit among Harry Potter fans! It's the perfect drink for enjoying during the fall season.
I can't believe one of my favorite holidays is right around the corner. I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't carved a pumpkin, made bat shaped sugar cookies or watched my favorite Halloween movie this month. That's seriously depressing... I have however finished watching Stranger Things for the second time, in anticipation of season 2 (which just came out)! I've also made my fair share of pumpkin recipes, but really just these cookies because they are the best! So I guess I'm not a total party pooper right?
And speaking of pumpkin, I've got the perfect pumpkin recipe in store for you today. Harry Potter-inspired pumpkin juice. Sounds delicious right? Keep reading!
As a kid growing up in the early 2000s, Harry Potter was obviously a huge part of my childhood. I read all of the books from cover to cover, anxiously waiting for the next one to be released. I also watched each book come alive in the movie theaters. For Christmas one year, my parents even gave my sisters and I Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Jelly Beans. We'd all dare each other to try some of the less than appetizing flavors (ear wax anyone?). I've basically had a love for the magical world most of my life.
Last year, Jacob and I decided to head over to Universal Studios Hollywood to finally experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for ourselves. Walking through the park, I felt like my childhood fantasies were finally coming true! We enjoyed butterbeer, purchased chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott's beans, and even bought ourselves an interactive wand to give a whirl throughout the park. Harry Potter World was really quite impressive!
Of course, one of my favorite parts of the park was enjoying a delicious meal in the Three Broomsticks. As far as theme park food goes, the food at Three Broomsticks was pretty dang delicious. Plus, it was a great deal. And I even got to try pumpkin juice for the first time!
Naturally, after coming home from Harry Potter World, I knew I needed to recreate this delightful pumpkin juice. October seemed to be the perfect time to share this recipe with you. After all, pumpkin juice would be the perfect drink to serve at a Halloween party next week (hint, hint)!
If you've never tried pumpkin juice, it almost tastes like apple cider or wassail, yet slightly different. It has an interesting taste that is reminiscent of the upcoming holidays. While I normally enjoy the drink cold with ice, I bet it would also taste great served warm as well! However you decide to enjoy the drink, you'll be hooked after one sip, and you'll probably want to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter too!
